| From offices in Soundview Plaza, located along the scenic Long Island Sound in Darien, Connecticut, USA, we conduct an intellectual property practice supported by a global network of relationships with domestic and foreign intellectual property law firms. A large portion of our practice involves designing, building and managing patent portfolios on inventions having complex subject matter of a broad technical scope. Examples of recent client inventions include: holographic-based laser scanning bar code symbol reading systems; automated package profiling, identification and tracking systems; cholesteric liquid crystal (CLC) film structures for use in diverse light control and coloring media applications; metal-air fuel cell battery systems and devices for advanced electro-chemical power generation applications; high-brightness Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) panel structures; bar code driven systems for enabling electronic-commerce transactions; Internet-based systems for consumer product information management and delivery; Internet-based systems for mitigating risk in foreign exchange transactions; tera-bit data warehouse management systems; On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP) systems using multi-dimensional databases; high-density optical-based data storage systems; virtual-reality (VR) based stereoscopic visualization systems; and advanced centrifugal-based heat transfer systems. New patent attorneys in the practice will learn to counsel clients, prepare and prosecute complex patent applications, negotiate intellectual property transactions, and draft and prepare agreements and various documents involved in securing, licensing and transferring the intellectual property rights of our clients.
